Grant Kitchen – THE Chef 😉

12650353_10207358854426242_1223217397_nAward winning Chef Grant Kitchen hails from Feilding in the Manawatu. As an apprentice at the ParkRoyal Hotel in Wellington he quickly developed a reputation as a “hospitality all rounder” with designations to the Sultan of Brunei, Prime Ministersand other VIPs.

Grant has worked with the New Zealand Defence Force, Accor Hotels and Tertiary Training Establishments, Judges at Culinary Events around NZ and is a Member of the NZ Chefs Association. Awards include NZ Beef and Lamb Awards, Runner Up NZ Restaurant of the Year 2007 and has trained up and coming chefs and stewards to Class Winners at local and national culinary events.

Grant also competed in a high level of sport representing Manawatu in Swimming, Life Saving, Basketball, Football and Indoor Netball and represented and captained the New Zealand Royal Life Saving Team. Grant has also coached junior, senior and representative Swimming, Basketball and Netball. Recently Grant has also designed a Recipe Book for Netball North Harbour and a Recipe Calendar for NZI Insurance.

Ever since Grant has been working at Le Chef, we have been extremely impressed with his professionalism and the attention to detail he gives to every plate that leaves the kitchen. He is a great individual, always eager to help and is not afraid of the crazy challenges Edouard has been feeding him such as cooking for one big table in Upper Vulcan Lane for more than 120 people.  The Le Chef team is Grant’s number one fan, especially when it comes to food. He is never letting our expectations down. All of his dishes are a treat for our taste buds, and takes us– even for just a minute, back to our homeland, France.
